This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

    A clump-forming perennial with palmate, pale green leaves with reddish purple stems. In summer and early autumn nodding, pale yellow flowers are produced on slender stalks above the attractive foliage. It's a lovely plant that is suitable for a shady border in acidic soil out of any strong winds.
