Double pompom-like flower-heads of pure lime-green florets surrounded by rings of greenish white ray-florets appear on tall branching stems in summer. The beautiful flowers are prodcuced from July to September, and deadheading will help prolong the flowering season even longer. Great for a sunny, well-drained border where they look lovely with other late summer-flowering perennials and ornamental grasses.
- Garden care: Lift and divide congested colonies in autumn or spring. In autumn cut back all dead flower stems to the ground. Coneflowers benefit from a spring or autumn mulch with well-rotted compost.
