Malva moschata f. alba
musk mallow
- Position: full sun
- Soil: moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average to fast growing
- Flowering period: June to September
- Flower colour: pure white
- Hardiness: fully hardy
This pretty musk mallow produces a succession of cup-shaped white flowers, throughout the summer. The leaves are attractive too - large and heart-shaped at the base of the plant, becoming more divided and fern-like near the top of the flowering stems. - Garden care: Avoid excessive feeding as this will usually encourage leafier growth and fewer flowers. Provide support when grown in more exposed locations.
