A vigorous, semi-evergreen perennial with short spikes of pale pink or white, bell-shaped flowers from early summer to mid autumn. It will quickly form dense clumps of handsome foliage so is perfect for providing groundcover in sun or partial shade. Unlike most other bistorts, this one is more tolerant of drier soils. Plant it in bold swatches to add vertical interest in the border right through till mid autumn, and give it plenty of space. Bees and other insects love it too! - Garden care: Lift and divide congested colonies in spring or autumn.
