Tall spikes of deep rose-pink, hollyhock-like flowers over a long period in summer above lobed or toothed, mid-green leaves. These sun-loving prairie mallows are ideal for the middle of a sunny mixed or herbaceous border. A compact, longer lasting version of the common hollyhock, they tolerate a wide range of soil conditions, except water-logging.
