Scabiosa caucasica ‘Fama’
This perennial scabiose has larger than average lavender-blue flowerheads, each with a silvery white centre, top strong stems in mid and late summer. Forming a pretty contrast with the grey-green basal leaves, the flowers also make long-lasting additions to a vase. Grows to 45cm. Supplied in a 9cm pot.

Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Beaujolais Bonnets’
The central florets of the domed flowerheads are a rich raspberry, while the slightly larger, outer florets of this short-lived perennial are a paler shade of pink. The prominent white stamens and somewhat frilly edge to the florets adds to the overall apeal throughout summer if deadheaded regularly. Grows to 60cm. Supplied in a 9cm pot.

Scabiosa atropurpurea ‘Ace of Spades’
Darkest plum, fully double flowerheads with a velvety, near-black appearance and a light scent, seem to hover on the upright stems of this short-lived perennial. Prompt deadheading will encourage more to form, prolonging the summer flowering period into early autumn. Grows to 60cm. Supplied in a 9cm pot.
