Forming a carpet of evergreen foliage, this gorgeous perennial is at its best in spring, when it produces an abundance of small, yellow-eyed, violet-blue blooms. It looks spectacular when cascading over a wall or the edge of a pot, and it also makes a handsome addition to the front of the border or rockery.
Garden care: Avoid waterlogging, particularly in winter, and to keep the plants looking bushy, cut them back hard immediately after flowering. This may also encourage a second, less prolific, flush of flowers.
