  • Choose this collection and you could enjoy 6 months of flowers in your borders and pots. Based on normal flowering times, the first blooms will start to appear in midwinter, followed by a succession of colour throughout the spring an into early summer.

In each collection you will receive the following:

    • 10 × Eranthis hyemalis (for flowers in January): One of the first bulbs of the season, producing carpets of bright yellow, buttercup-like flowers from late January, surrounded by ruffs of fresh green leaves. Winter aconites originate from damp woodland and shady places in Eurasia, so are perfect for naturalising under deciduous shrubs and trees. Grows to 8cm.

    • 20 × Crocus × cultorum 'Remembrance' (for flowers in February): Big, purple-mauve flowers appear from late winter on slender stems arising from clumps of white-striped, green foliage. This provides a good contrast and remains interesting after the flowers have faded. Useful for creating a blast of seasonal colour when little else is in bloom, they can be planted in pots, windowboxes or allowed to naturalise in the border or lawn. Grows to 10cm.

    • 10 × Narcissus 'Jetfire' (for flowers in March): The dramatically swept back golden yellow petals surround a bright orange trumpet, giving this sturdy daffodil a windswept look. They appear in early spring and are ideal for naturalising in bold drifts where they will carpet the ground with their golden flowers. Also suitable for pots if space is limited, so their bright and cheerful colour can be enjoyed close up. Grows to 20cm.

    • 20 × Anemone blanda 'White Splendour' (for flowers in April): Large white daisy-like flowers (to 4cm across) emerge above the attractively lobed, dark green foliage. Each petal has a pink-flushed reverse and they all sit around a boss of yellow stamens. Ideal for underplanting shrubs or trees. Grows to 15cm.

    • 7 × Tulipa 'Black Hero' (for flowers in May): A stunning, double-flowered tulip with deep maroon-black blooms with a satin sheen. Bred from the highly acclaimed tulip 'Queen of Night'. Plant it somewhere prominent so you can really enjoy the flowers when they appear in May. Grows to 60cm.

    • 10 × Allium hollandicum 'Purple Sensation' (for flowers in June): Strap-shaped grey-green leaves start to die back before the densely packed umbels of deep violet, star-shaped flowers appear in early summer. Its striking architectural silhouette makes it particularly well suited to gravel or prairie-style planting schemes. Grows to 1m.

  • Garden care: Plant in naturalistic groups in autumn. During summer when the bulbs are dormant lift and divide groups that are becoming congested.
    • Humans/Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
