The scale-like leaves of this compact, broadly conical conifer are white when they first start to emerge, and this gives the impression that the plant has been dusted with snow. As the foliage matures however, it turns a rich bluish green, and it remains like that throughout the year. The plants defined profile makes it ideal for adding structure interest to pots and borders. - Garden care: Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
