This popular sweet orange has been in cultivation for over 100 years. It is still highly regarded for its small(ish) smooth-skinned fruits, which have a sweet and juicy flesh. These reddish orange navels are slightly pear-shaped, and they tend to ripen early in the season.

This plant is supplied as a half standard, with a 1m high clear stem topped with a crown of foliage. Unfortunately however, we cannot guarantee that any plant will be sent out with developing fruit.

  • Garden care: Ideally grow in a pot which is easily moved from terrace to conservatory, in soil-based compost. Feed every two weeks with a special citrus fertiliser (there is one for summer and another for winter), and pot on or top-dress plants in late winter. Move outside after the risk of frost has passed to a sunny, sheltered patio.
