Clematis 'Petit Faucon'

clematis (group 3)

5 year guarantee
3 lt pot (60cm cane) £24.99

This climber is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.

  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: fertile, well-drained soil, neutral soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: July to September
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

Delightful, lantern-shaped, deep violet-purple flowers with contrasting yellow centres appear from July to September. This semi-herbaceous clematis is a valuable plant for a mixed border in full sun or partial shade. Use twiggy prunings, garden canes or ring stakes to provide support, tying in stems regularly from the start of the season.

  • Garden care: Cut back the stems to the base of the plant each winter and apply a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant, avoiding the immediate crown.
