From early summer, these eye-catching Aurora Series delphiniums produce impressive spires of large, well-formed flowers, which open over several weeks from the base of the inflorescence. They are invaluable for adding structural interest in cottage gardens and herbaceous borders and will look wonderful when planted in generous clumps or drifts. These cultivars are quite compact, so can also be grown in pots, while their sturdy stems and relatively small foliage makes them perfect for cutting. Grow them in a sunny spot with rich, well-drained soil and provide some support before the flowers get too tall.

In this collection you will receive one of each of the following varieties, all supplied as plug plants.

  • Delphinium 'Aurora Light Blue' (Aurora Series): A wonderfully soft blue with a white eye. Grows to 1m.
  • Delphinium 'Aurora Blue' (Aurora Series):An eyecatching colour that adds oomph to the palette. Grows to 1m.
  • Delphinium 'Aurora Pink Dawn' (Aurora Series):A good, rich pink that mixes easily with many other shades. Grows to 1m.
  • Delphinium 'Aurora White' (Aurora Series):Forms glowing columns of pure white flowers. Grows to 1m.
  • Delphinium 'Aurora Deep Purple' (Aurora Series):White-eyed, regal purple flowers. Grows to 1m.

  • Garden care: Stake with bamboo canes in mid-spring. During the growing season apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and wearing gloves cut back the faded flower-stems to a flowering side-shoot. At the end of autumn cut back and compost the faded flower stems.
