The pure white flowers, which crowd around the upright flower spikes look luminous in the border. This is an elegant perennial, which will often produce a second flush of flowers later in the summer if the spent flowers are removed promptly. Magnificent in the garden, it also makes a wonderful cut flower. - Garden care: Stake with bamboo canes in mid-spring. During the growing season apply a balanced liquid fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and wearing gloves cut back the faded flower-stems to a flowering side-shoot. At the end of autumn cut back and compost the faded flower stems
