This wonderful annual mallow produces a mass of large (up to 12cm across), and showy rose-pink flowers on its branching stems. These make sublime gap-fillers for the summer border, offering several months of colour.
Winner of an Royal Horticultural Society, Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance, it's part of the seed range produced by Mr Fothergill’s Seeds in partnership with the RHS.

  • Garden care: In a sheltered garden, sow the seed in-situ in spring, lightly covering them with soil or compost. Keep well watered and thin to 20- 25cm intervals. In colder regions, start the seeds off in a propagator or coldframe and harden off before planting out after the last frost. Deadheading the spent flowers regularly will encourage more to form, prolonging the flowering period well into autumn.

  • Flowering: July - October
