    Cascades of tiny, scarlet flowers produced continuously in early and mid summer and bluish green leaves. This pretty, flax is ideal for the front of a sunny, well-drained border. Compact and easy to grow, for maximum impact plant in small drifts with other sun loving plants such as Stachys byzantina.

  • Garden care: Cut back and compost faded flower heads at the end of autumn. Apply a generous mulch of 5-7cm (2-3in) of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring
