A wonderfully warming splash of burgundy, orange and crimson petalled tulips featuring three remarkably colourful and long-lasting varieties, sure to warm the coolest of May days. A dazzling collection for those seeking a combination of perfectly matched blooms in a cut-flower or spring border display.

In each collection you will receive 10 of each of the following bulbs:

  • Tulipa 'Match': The good-sized flowers of this triumph tulip are held on stout stems that rise just above the grey-green foliage. They are really striking as their petals have a yellow base, while their tips that have been generously daubed with crimson. This distinctive bicoloured effect creates a vibrant show when they are planted on their own, but they can also be used to link solid reds and yellows together in a bedding scheme. Grows to 50cm tall.

  • Tulipa 'Golden Artist': Softly ruffled golden-orange petals, which are infused with green and hints of sunset-pink, form impressive flowers that start appearing towards the end of April. These are relatively long-lasting and look great when cut for the vase. Their colouring makes them very easy to mix with oranges and reds. Grows to 45cm tall.

  • Tulipa 'Burgundy Lace': A wonderful tall tulip that is a really luscious shade of burgundy. It looks great when teamed up with other bruised tones, or just planted in great swathes throughout the border. The fringed petals give the flowers an interesting silhouette. Grows to 60cm tall.

  • Garden care: From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
    • Humans: Harmful if eaten; skin allergen; Pets: Ornamental bulbs - not to be eaten
