This delicious mangetout produces succulent, dark green sweet tasting pods, each with a crisp texture. They can be used in salads of stir fries when picked while young, while mature pods can be shelled for their peas. Showing a good resistance to disease, it delivers a high quality crop over a long season. Forming part of the seed range produced by Mr Fothergill’s Seeds in partnership with the RHS, it's also a winner of an Award of Garden Merit for its reliability and good performance.

  • Growing Instructions:Make a broad flat-bottomed drill 5cm deep and 10cm wide and place the peas in a double row, Protect from mice and slugs. If growing in containers, sow about 10 seeds to a 35cm pot. If support is needed, poke short twiggy peasticks in among the plants as they grow. Guttering is an ideal container for early sowings: make drainage holes, then fill with compost and sow in rows. Plant outside by sliding the complete row into the ground without disturbing the roots.

  • Sow: March - June

  • Harvest: May - September

  • Approximate quantity: 150 seeds.
