This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  • Position: full sun or lightly dappled shade
  • Soil: humus-rich, moist but freely draining soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: May to June
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

A delightful, floriferous creeping semi-evergreen perennial, perfect for scrambling through dry gravel beds, rock gardens, banks, walls, borders or frothing over the edges of pots and containers. ‘Rosea’ has tiny, 5-petalled blooms in delicate shades of white and pinkish purple that emerge from tightly formed buds.

  • Garden care: Keep this alpine evenly moist and feed with a balanced fertiliser during the growing season (May to September). Once the flowers have faded, trim to maintain form. Once established, lift and divide clumps in autumn.
