The perfect Hallowe'en pumpkin with deep orange fruits that have a deep broad shape and can weigh up to 9kg. This cultivar is often grown by the professionals, but it is also ideal for home gardeners, and will provide an excellent source of vitamins A, B1, C and E.

  • Growing Instructions: Sow two seeds on edge in a 10cm pot filled with good quality compost in late spring in a greenhouse or on a sunny windowsill. Pot on seedlings as they grow, then harden off carefully and plant out in a sunny, sheltered spot once all threat of frost has passed, leaving 60cm between each plant. Protect from slugs and make they are kept really well watered when the plants start to swell. To keep pumpkin plants in bounds, lift up wayward shoots before they make it out of the veg bed and guide them around the plant in circles.

  • Harvest: September-October
