The bulbs in this collection have been specially chosen to put on a very pretty display in the late spring and early summer garden. They can be planted in the border, but can also be potted up if space is at a premium.

In each collection you will receive the following:

    10 × Tulipa 'Angelique'
Delicate, soft pink, double, bowl-shaped flowers, flushed with both paler and darker shades of pink in April and May. From a distance, you could easily mistake these tulips for peonies and they are usually one of the last tulips into flower - so a good one to choose if you want to extend a bedding display. Grows to 45cm.

    10 × Tulipa 'Blue Ribbon'
A classically shaped, deep plum (not blue) coloured tulip which fades to lilac around the edges of the petals. Being a triumph tulip it is robust and has long-lived flowers. Plant it up densely into pots so you can move it to a prominent spot on the patio when they are at their best. Grows to 45cm.

    10 × Tulipa 'Blue Heron'
The violet-blue open flowers have a darker centre and an attractive pale lilac frilly edge that resembles hoar frosting. They are long lasting, either in the border or as cut flowers. Grows to 65cm.

    10 × Tulipa 'Shirley'
Creamy-green buds open to beautiful single, cup-shaped blooms that turn ivory-white with narrow purple margins. The flowers appear in late spring and look great planted in bold drifts for an eye-catching display. Ideal for a sunny, sheltered, well-drained border, the vibrant blooms make excellent and long-lasting cut flowers. Grows to 55cm.

    5 × Tulipa 'New Design'
Soft, silvery-pink flowers, with a deeper pink margin to the petals, are flushed with warm yellow, creating a subtle, yet distinctive colouring. The leaves are variegated too - grey-green with a creamy white margin, which often displays muted pink tones. Overall a very pretty and colourful effect. Grows to 45cm.

  • Garden care: From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
  • Harmful if eaten/may cause skin allergy
