Each collection contains bulbs as listed below.

    Tulipa 'Olympic Flame'
A single, Darwin hybrid with deep yellow cups that are heavily streaked with blood-red flames. The flowers are quite small but nevertheless they pack a real punch when planted in bold drifts, or where their bright flowers can add early colour to a hot border. Grows to 50cm tall. Supplied as 10 bulbs.

    Tulipa 'National Velvet'
Deep burgundy red, velvety blooms that seem to glow like burning coals in the morning sun, sit on top of tall, sturdy stems late in the season. Their rich colouring blends well with deep purples and near blacks or liven them up with oranges and reds. Grows to 50cm tall. Supplied as 10 bulbs.

    Tulipa 'Synaeda King'
Holding a well-deserved AGM, this stylish little number will not only draw the eye when it's in bloom, but it's also a reliable performer that's noted for its red and gold flowers, which last well in the border or vase. Plant en-masse in a single block for a truly dazzling diplay, or tie it in with solid gold or red tulips - ideally ones with a contrasting silhouette. Grows to 50cm tall. Supplied as 10 bulbs.

    Tulipa 'Lasting love'
Producing relatively slender, stunningly coloured flowers, that top tall stems in mid- to late spring. The rich undertones in the petals means it can be teamed with both near-black tulips or full-bodied, mid-tone reds - and it will look sublime in a bouquet or vase with orange and chartreuse. Grows to 50cm tall. Supplied as 10 bulbs.

  • Garden care: From August to November plant the bulbs 10-15cm deep and 10-15cm apart in a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained soil. While actively growing, keep them moderately well watered and remove the flowers after they have faded. At that stage a balanced liquid fertiliser can be applied each week for 4 weeks before they die down.
