A rich, friable compost formulated for roses, trees and shrubs to help them establish in garden soils. Made in Britain, 100% peat-free and vegan friendly, it supplies balanced slow-release nutrients and helps to improve soil quality when added to the planting hole.
Incorporate it into soil when planting out bare root and container-grown roses, trees and shrubs in borders or raised beds. You can also mix it into the soil in your raised beds for vegetable growing.
How to use:
Planting in beds/borders:
Blend one part of compost to 3 or 4 parts of the back-fill soil when planting. Gently firm into place but avoid over-compacting the soil and water well. Ensure that the soil level after planting is at the same level on the stem as previously.
Raised beds:
Mix one part of compost with 2 to 3 parts of loam or garden soil to make a nutrient-rich growing medium for vegetables and strawberries. Crops are heavy feeders so will benefit from a regular supplementary feed.
Not suitable for acid-loving, ericaceous plants. Store in a cool, dry place away from weed killers and other garden chemicals, and reseal bag after use. Always wear gloves when handling and wash hands afterwards.
