Calibrachoa 'Cabaret Early Orange'
mini petunia / million bells
- Position: full sun
- Soil: moderately fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil, or peat-free general-purpose compost
- Rate of growth: average to fast
- Flowering period: May to October
- Hardiness: tender (needs frost protection)
The vibrant and richly-coloured, burnt orange of this Calibrachoa is a stunning and self-cleaning (no need to deadhead), profusely flowering summer bedding plant. 'Cabaret Early Orange' is ideal for scrambling over the edges of a pot or hanging basket, and combining with purples, blues and other plants in the series.
Grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can then either be planted outside into a well-prepared bed, or used to fill decorative pots and hanging baskets for the patio. Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feeding with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer will promote even more flowers to form.
