This climber is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.

  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: fast-growing
  • Flowering period: June to October
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

This compact clematis is ideal for patios, rockeries, hanging baskets, or larger windowboxes - and it also looks stunning when woven through the front of a border. It's small yellow, bell-shaped flowers appear over several months so will offer a long season of interest, and as they fade attractive seedheads develop. Easy and undemanding, it's also incredibly tough, so it's perfect for colder regions or more exposed gardens.

Please note that the pot in the photograph is not supplied with the plant (which is sent out in a plastic nursery pot). They do however make excellent potted plants, and if you wish to pot yours up, we do have a wide range of pots to choose from.

  • Garden care: In early spring cut back the previous year's stems to a pair of strong buds about 15-20cm (6-8in) above ground level and apply a slow-release balanced fertiliser and a mulch of well-rotted garden compost around the plant, avoiding the immediate crown.
  • Humans: Skin irritant; Pets: Harmful if eaten
