  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: moist but well-drained
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: July to September
  • Hardiness: fully hardy

This stunning Hibiscus from Italian plant breeder, Gandini, has a compact, columnar habit that is perfect for small gardens, terraces, entrances, narrow hedges, and focal points. Flowering from mid to late summer, ‘Flower Tower Purple’ has lilac-purple blooms with a red centre and dramatic veining of the same colour, that extends deep into the petal.

  • Garden care: When planting this Hibiscus incorporate some well-rotted compost or manure and mycorrhizal fungi into the planting hole. Little or no pruning is required until the desired height is reached. In colder areas, shrubs might need a winter mulch.
