Lovely, light yellow, wineglass-shaped flowers with a violet-blue base in February and March and slender, strap-shaped, mid-green leaves. These spring-flowering crocuses are perfect for naturalising in grass in a well-drained, sunny site. To achieve a naturalistic effect broadcast small handfuls of bulbs, planting them 10cm (4in) deep where they fall. - Garden care: Plant bulbs in naturalistic drifts 10cm (4in) deep in September or October.
