This perennial is semi-evergreen so it can lose some of its leaves in winter. In colder regions or more exposed gardens, it may lose them all, but then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

  This easy to grow, sun-loving shrub, forms a low spreading mound of rich green foliage, which from late to midsummer, is studded with cerise pink, double flowers. It makes a really pretty ground cover at the front of a mixed border, and it can also be used in gravel gardens or pots.
