The soil-free kit lets you grow salad leaves, herbs and greens in your kitchen where you’ll use them, making them unbeatably fresh and reducing food miles to zero!
Suitable for a range of crops – including lettuce, rocket, chard, kale, chives, mint, coriander and basil - it grows a generous amount in a small space.
Roots are bathed in all the nutrients they need, reducing their need to spread. Instead, plants expend more time and energy growing upwards, leading to faster growth and better yields.
Plus, as crops are grown indoors, they are protected from many of the pests and diseases found outdoors so you won’t need to use pesticides.
Besides the kit, all you need are seedlings with at least 2 leaves (or young plants 2-3 weeks old), liquid fertiliser with a nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium ratio of 5-3-8, and 8.5 litres of lukewarm tap water.
Full step-by-step growing instructions are provided with the kit. For best results, set up in an area of your home that receives at least 4 hours of light a day (partial shade).
