A prolifically flowering, low-growing evergreen shrub, 'Melanie' has a dense, compact habit, and its white, bell-shaped blooms are gathered in dense, spiky inflorescences. Flowering profusely between August and October, this bud variety is well suited to borders, pots and containers.

  • Garden care: When planting incorporate lots of composted leaf-mould into the planting hole. In March or April cut back the flowered shoots to within 2.5cm (1in) of the old growth.
