A new form of a well-loved classic, this fatsia shares many of the characteristics of the species, but its leaves are a handsome (and irregular) blend of rich green, yellow-green and even a splash of cream. Its palm-shaped evergreen foliage is generously proportioned, so it adds a tropical feel to the planting scheme, and it makes an ideal specimen that will liven up those shadier corners in the garden.

  • Garden care: Prune lightly in mid to late spring, trimming shoots that spoil the symmetry. Protect plants from cold, drying winds.
