This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.

A delightful ruffled, double-white compact primrose with large, fragrant flowers and a partially obscured golden centre. Sitting above a rosette of textural, oval green leaves, ‘White’ is easy to grow and tolerant to heat and dry conditions. A highly versatile, semi-evergreen perennial, this primula is perfectly suited as a bedding or edging plant.
Plant out in a partially shaded and sheltered position, adding plenty of leaf mould and compost to the planting hole and backfill. Water well until established. Divide large clumps in late spring or early summer after the plant has flowered, preferably during a wet spell.
