A mat-forming rock garden plant providing a long succession of densely-packed tiny, rose-pink flowering spikes in midsummer. 'Heidekind' is a compact perennial that spreads to form a soft carpet of grey-green, narrowly-oval, toothed leaves. A lovely, insect-friendly option to clothe the edges of borders - Garden care: Remove faded flower-stems in autumn. Apply a generous 5-7cm mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring.
