A curated contemporary collection of white themed, cream and yellow centred dahlias with forms that evoke an elegant and classic timelessness.

In each collection you will receive one tuber of each of the following:

  • Dahlia 'Petras Wedding': With elegantly rolled, inward-curving petals resembling a bride's flawless gown, 'Petra's Wedding' is an exquisite 'decorative' dahlia bearing petite, pure white blooms perfect for cutting. This miniature flower, reaching just 8cm (3in) across, emerges atop upright stems with subtly lime-tinted centres, requiring closer inspection to fully appreciate its pristine beauty. Equally at home in contemporary gardens or tucked among hardy perennials in a cottage garden, this late season dahlia flowers reliably from midsummer until autumn's first frost making this a most suitable choice for white themed gardens, windowsill bouquets, or adding refinement to any floral arrangement. Grows to 70cm.

  • Dahlia 'Mount Tacoma': Dahlia 'Mount Tacoma' stands out as a perfect semi-cactus white variety, boasting prolific blooms that endure exquisitely in a vase, making it a fantastic addition to any bouquet. Adorned with pure white narrow and pointed petals that span about 15cm (6 in) across, this dahlia offers a striking visual impact. Grows to 1.2m.

  • Dahlia 'Platinum Blonde': A true dahlia marvel, ‘Platinum Blonde’ captivates with its unique anemone-shaped blooms, 10cm (4in) wide, revealing a mesmerising contrast of creamy inner petals and white outer petals. The fuzzy, buttercream coloured centre resembles a double-flowered echinacea, crowning tall stems and lush dark green foliage from midsummer through autumn’s first frosts. The flowers make this standout dahlia a floral arranger’s dream, whether gathered in abundant garden bundles or showcased singly. Grows to 1.2m.

  • Dahlia 'Snowbound': 'Snowbound' brings breathtaking sophistication to the garden with billowing 20-25cm (8-10in) white blooms touched with cream at their hearts. This robust cultivar showcases slightly twisted and waving snowy petals, adding an alluring dimension to the serene and abundant blooms. Mix among pastels or complement with other off-white glories in a cut-flower vase - no matter the accompaniment, this regal dinnerplate Dahlia commands attention. Grows to 1.2m.

  • Garden care:
Dahlia tubers can be planted outside after frost, or started off in pots under glass in late winter to early spring. Plant them horizontally approximately 12cm deep, making sure the ‘eyes’ are uppermost. Allow enough room between each tuber so the plants can grow and spread to their full size without being overcrowded. While in growth, provide a high-nitrogen liquid feed each week in June, then a high-potash fertiliser each week from July to September. Stake with canes or brushwood if it becomes necessary. In mild areas, leave them in situ over winter, but protect the crown with a generous layer of dry mulch. In colder areas, carefully lift and clean the tubers once the first frosts have blackened the foliage and allow them to dry naturally indoors. Then place the dry tubers in a shallow tray, just covered with slightly moist potting compost, sand or vermiculite and store in a frost-free place until planting out again.
