Lucca terracotta pot & vervain ( syn. verbena claret )

Lucca terracotta pot & vervain ( syn. verbena claret )

  • Position: full sun
  • Soil: moist, well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: average
  • Flowering period: June to September
  • Hardiness: frost hardy

Dark claret flowers are produced throughout summer and into autumn above feathery green foliage. A vigorous perennial for a sunny spot, it associates really well with yellow and orange flowering plants, such as Crocosmia 'George Davison' and Dahlia 'Arabian Night' and looks lovely on a sun-soaked patio.

Here we've paired up 3 plants with our wide Lucca terracotta pot (Ø60cm x H34cm) so you can enjoy a pop of colour in any part of the garden (brass saucer sold separately).

To aid drainage and improve frost protection, we recommend using pot feet to raise the pot off the ground.

To keep your pot in tip-top condition please read our ‘Assembly and care instructions’ PDF for more detailed advice.

  • Garden care: Protect plants in winter with a dry winter mulch around the crown.
