Plectranthus coleoides
variegated Swedish ivy
- Position: full sun
- Soil: fertile, well-drained soil or general-purpose potting compost
- Rate of growth: fast
- Hardiness: tender (mainly grown as an annual)
A highly decorative, foliage interest, summer bedding plant, grown for its attractive green and white-variegated leaves with scalloped edges, on long trailing stems (to 60cm). Perfect for cascading from hanging baskets and for muted colour schemes, especially when paired with Verbena 'Enchantment White'. - Garden care: Pot up your variegated Swedish ivy, but only place them outside in the garden after the risk of frost has passed. Keep them well fed using a dilute solution of a high-potash liquid fertiliser (Tomorite is ideal) at regular intervals.
