Erigeron karvinskianus 'Lavender Lady'
Mexican fleabane
This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
- Position: full sun
- Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
- Rate of growth: average
- Flowering period: May to October
- Hardiness: fully hardy
Incredibly long-flowering and prolific, this new cultivar is just as reliable as the much-loved species, but it has slightly larger, lavender coloured flowers. A must-have plant for a sunny spot with freely draining soils, it will soon form a spreading carpet of colour that will last from May to October - if not even longer! - Garden care: Trouble free. Avoid excessive winter wet and trim lanky stems in autumn.
