Spectacular, silver-blue, waxy, needle-like leaves, retained all year and cylindrical, green cones aging to pale-brown. This conical, evergreen conifer is an excellent specimen tree for a large garden. Becoming columnar with age, it performs best in a moist but well-drained, neutral to acid soil in full sun. - Garden care: Remove any competing leaders that appear in spring, and at the same time, cut out any weak or misshapen shoots.
