This shrub is deciduous so it will lose all its leaves in autumn, then fresh new foliage appears again each spring.

  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: moderately fertile, moist but well-drained soil, or general-purpose compost for containers
  • Rate of growth: fast
  • Flowering period: June to October
  • Hardiness: frost hardy (may require winter protection)

A vigorous, erect deciduous Fuchsia with a profusion of medium to large, double flowers, with a salmon-pink tube and sepals and a full magenta corolla with ruffled petals. ‘Garden News’ blooms consistently from early summer until the first frosts, and is free-flowering, award winning, and reliable.

  • Garden care:
To encourage growth, pinch out the growing tips of young plants after the sixth or seventh pair of leaves. During the growing season water regularly, applying a balanced liquid fertiliser each month. Cut back to the permanent framework in early spring.
    • Humans/Pets: Fruit are ornamental - not to be eaten
