Spikes of stunning sulphur-yellow tubular flowers emerge above linear strap-like leaves in summer through to autumn. 'Poco Yellow', a compact, clump-forming, deciduous perennial works wonderfully well with prairie style gardens, especially with ornamental grasses such as Stipa tennuissima and Festuca glauca. - Garden care: In autumn remove and compost the faded flower spikes and apply a deep dry mulch such as pine needles around the crown of the plant. Cut back to the ground in spring to keep the foliage fresh-looking. Divide and replant overcrowded colonies in spring.
