African daisy

Product Image
Once established, these drought-tolerant African daisies are perfect for the front of a sunny border.

As long as they're given sun, sharply drained soil and deadheaded regularly Arctotis × hybrida hort. 'Wine' provides a long-lasting display of cool-pink to rosé wine-coloured daisy-like flowers held above lobed grey-green leaves from July to September.

How to care for Arctotis × hybrida hort. Wine:

Grow on under glass until all risk of frost has passed and they can be planted outside in a well-prepared bed or patio pot. Use a freely-draining compost mix, or add additional grit, sharp sand, or perlite, as Arctotis prefer an open growing medium.

Pinching out the growing tips will encourage them to become bushier, and feed with a high-potash fertiliser at regular intervals throughout the summer.
