RHS award-winner, 'Curly Fireflush', is a rex-type begonia with spectacular spiral leaves, displaying a delightful green hue with a captivating dark reddish bronze centre and edges. The young leaves, leaf margins, and stems are adorned with a dense layer of fine red hairs, creating an enchanting iridescent effect that beautifully accentuates the plant's attractive form. Occasionally, pearly white flowers make their appearance.

How to care for Begonia Curly Fireflush:
Rex begonias require special care during the summer months. It's best to keep them in shaded areas and provide ample watering, ensuring proper drainage and maintaining a humid atmosphere around the plants. Avoid wetting the leaves or the crown.
As winter approaches, reduce the frequency of watering. Allow the compost surface to dry out before watering again. These begonias thrive with a minimum winter temperature of 13°C (55°F) across all varieties.
For optimal growth, feed them every two weeks from May to September using a high nitrogen fertiliser.
