Slowly growing to form a dense (slightly irregular) dome of rich green foliage, this evergreen shrub becomes more pyramidal in shape as it matures. Offering year round interest to pots and borders, it's a wonderful addition to the garden - and is particularly useful for adding colour and form throughout the winter.
How to care for Chamaecyparis obtusa Nana Gracilis:
Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant (avoiding the immediate crown) in late winter. Pruning is not usually necessary, however any shoots that ruin the symmetry of the plant can be removed in autumn.
