A coffee, cream and caramel coloured collection of contrasting and complementary dahlia colours and forms to grace late summer borders and interior floral displays.
How to care for Coffee and cream dahlia collection:
Dahlia tubers can be planted outside after frost, or started off in pots under glass in late winter to early spring. Plant them horizontally approximately 12cm deep, making sure the ‘eyes’ are uppermost. Allow enough room between each tuber so the plants can grow and spread to their full size without being overcrowded.
While in growth, provide a high-nitrogen liquid feed each week in June, then a high-potash fertiliser each week from July to September. Stake with canes or brushwood if it becomes necessary. In mild areas, leave them in situ over winter, but protect the crown with a generous layer of dry mulch.
In colder areas, carefully lift and clean the tubers once the first frosts have blackened the foliage and allow them to dry naturally indoors. Then place the dry tubers in a shallow tray, just covered with slightly moist potting compost, sand or vermiculite and store in a frost-free place until planting out again.

What's included:
In each collection you will receive one tuber of each of the following:
Dahlia 'Café au Lait': The flower colour of this gorgeous decorative dahlia is hard to describe, but imagine rich cream with a big dollop of peachy-pink and you will get the idea. However the colour is described, the flowers are lush and lovely. They can grow up to 25cm across, so will make a pretty spectacular display in the border, or when cut and placed in a vase. Grows to 1.2m.
Dahlia 'Preference': A tall, enthusiastic bloomer boasting delicate flowers in a gorgeous blend of lemon, peach, and pink hues from midsummer through autumn's first frost. Pointed petals in sunburst fashion unfurl in a delicate ombre, transitioning from bright yellow centres to soft pink edges. Grows to 1.2m.
Dahlia 'Missis Miley': A vibrant ‘decorative’ dahlia showcasing warm red tones with a plum-purple centre - a delight for interior floral displays and late summer borders alike. This robust perennial boasts an abundance of 10cm (4in) fully double blooms, gracing the garden from midsummer until the first frosts, and notably, 'Misses Miley' extends the beauty of borders and beds well into the season after early perennials have faded, adding depth and brilliance to the garden at this time of year. Grows to 90cm.
Dahlia 'Dark Spirit': The rich colouring of the flowerheads adds depth and body to the colour palette, while their neat, uniform shape provides structural interest. A stunning addition to the border, it will also flourish in a pot on a sunny patio - and the flowers will last for ages when cut for the vase. Grows to 90cm.
