This tropical climber bursts with vivid red, trumpet-shaped flowers featuring striking yellow centres, providing continuous colour throughout summer in warm, humid conditions.

Compact and well-branched, Mandevilla Sundaville Fashion Red is ideal for conservatories or heated glasshouses, creating a lush display with its glossy green foliage and vibrant blooms.

Reaching up to 2m in height and spreading to 50cm, it thrives in loam-based or ericaceous compost with good drainage. Position it in full sun to partial shade, sheltered outdoors during summer or in a bright conservatory for year-round impact.

Not hardy in the UK, this scented houseplant must be overwintered indoors or enjoyed as a floriferous, evening-scented and impactful annual in cooler areas.

How to care for Mandevilla Sundaville Fashion Red ('Sunpa 316') (Sundaville Series):

Mandevilla is best grown as a tropical houseplant and will require a large pot, and is best sited in a well-lit conservatory or heated glasshouse.

Apply a general purpose fertiliser during the growing season and avoid overwatering in winter. In late-winter or early-spring thin out over-crowded growth by pruning side-shoots to within three or four buds of the main woody woody stems of the plant.

Avoid contact with its white sap, which can cause irritation.
