The large, velvety, darkest crimson flowers of ‘Espresso’ are incredibly showy. Beautiful in cut flower arrangements, these strong, erect floral spikes rise above pointed sword-like leaves, each one containing up to 12 buds which flower over a period of two weeks. Easy to grow, this gladiolus will add bright notes of summer colour to your beds and borders, pots or in wonderful bouquets in the home. Marvellous with bright green euphorbias. - Garden care: Plant corms 10-15cm (4-6in) deep and 25cm apart on a bed of sharp sand to aid drainage. In frost-prone areas, lift them when the leaves turn yellow-brown and store the corms in a dry, frost-free place over winter.
