Use this low maintenance evergreen to line a path, fill in gaps at the front of the border, or add year round interest to a larger rockery. Its splaying stems are clothed in soft aromatic foliage, which takes on a bronze flush during the colder months of the year - and forming a dense clump as it matures. Juniperus communis 'Repanda' also makes ideal ground cover.

Choose a site with well-drained soil, ideally slightly acidic, and a sunny position to encourage vibrant growth and colour.
Avoid waterlogged areas, as junipers are drought-tolerant once established but dislike overly wet conditions. Mulch around the base of the plant in late winter with organic material like bark or wood chips, keeping the mulch clear of the crown to prevent rot.
