How to care for Ligustrum ovalifolium Aureum:
For best results, plant into well-prepared, fertile soil in a sunny or partially shaded position. Dig a generous hole, adding well-rotted compost or manure to enrich the soil before planting. Firm in well and water thoroughly to settle the roots. Keep plants well-watered during their first growing season and in dry spells to help them establish.
Lightly prune in late winter or early spring to remove any misplaced, damaged, or diseased branches and to maintain a balanced shape. Further trimming in late summer can help encourage a neat, bushy form.
