How to care for Lilium Pollen free lotus lily collection:
Lilies can be planted at any time from early autumn to mid-spring. Planting in autumn often helps them settle in and become better established before they start to put on their new spring growth, but spring planting is a better option if your soil is heavy and wet during winter. Choose a sunny spot, preferably where the plant receives a little light shade at its base, and plant each bulb 15-20cm deep in a well-drained soil, enriched with well-rotted organic matter or leaf mould. Space them at 15-30cm intervals and provide support before the flowers appear. Deadhead the faded blooms promptly and cut the dead stems back to ground level at the end of autumn.

What sets it apart is the many-petalled flowers, which look more like a lotus than your average garden lily. Capable of flowering over several months, this double oriental lily can also be cut for the vase. Grows to 100cm.
- Lilium 'Lotus 'Beauty' (Lotus group): Specifically bred to resemble a lotus flower, this recently introduced lily produces fully double white flowers, which have a smattering of burgundy freckles on their petals. A stunning addition to the summer border, it will also do well if planted deeply in a pot. Grows to 100cm.
- Lilium 'Lotus 'Elegance' (Lotus group): Each of the slender, pointed petals is gently ruffled, and the colouring is a sublime mix of pink, creamy white and green. A fully double oriental lily, 'Lotus Elegance' is brand new - and its flowers are quite extraordinary. Said to flower over several months, it will add pizazz to the summer border. Grows to 100cm.
