Lupinus 'Towering Inferno' (PBR)

west country lupin

Product Image
Plumes of fiery, orange-red pea-like blooms rise up in upright racemes from a leafy cushion of palmate foliage. 'Towering Inferno' burns brightly in the summer border, fanning the flames of any ‘hot’ planting scheme. This vigorous, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial flowers from June to July.

How to care for Lupinus Towering Inferno (PBR):

Stake with bamboo canes or other natural supports in spring before the flowers appear, and deadhead the faded blooms to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slug and snail damage, and cover the crown of the plant with an insulating layer of organic mulch in autumn to prevent frost damage.
