The bulbs of certain plants contain substances which can have a repelling effect on moles and field mice, but that are undetectable in humans. These natural mole repellent bulbs (Allium moly) are best used in conjunction with other humane deterrents (such as sonic, barriers, etc). The bulbs occasionally produce a small yellow flower which can easily be mown over.
One pack of mole deterrent bulbs will cover 500m² of lawn. Plant 5-8cm (2-3”) deep and 8m (27ft) apart in lawns, beds and borders. Use the DeWit bulb planter specifically designed for crocus and snowdrops to make planting easier.
